Where's My Mojo Gone????

Well my fabulous friends out there, I have lost my mojo and I don't know where to start looking for it, so I thought I would put the word out and see what my sagacious pals out in the blogosphere thought.
I currently have two newspaper articles to write - one for my cricket club and the developments there and the other about building work I had done on the house. Pretty dry subjects I agree but usually I am brimming with thoughts, ideas and plans.
I sit at my computer and nada, niet, nothing, in fact bugger all! Couldn't even think of something pithy to write a post about so decided to have a witter........
Life is plodding on here, the kids are back at school after the Easter break, number one son is back at college tomorrow so we are getting some structure back into our lives. I love and hate the holidays in equal measure. I love the fact that I am not nagging them constantly about homework, uniform and trying to find the black hole that has swallowed their sports kit this time, yet I need a bit of discipline in my life (steady on at the back) or I get very lackadaisical and basically grind to a halt.
On the other hand, work is great I have picked up some new clients, which means getting out and about and building new relationships and we are busy, busy, busy and I definitely perform better under pressure (now I've told you once, this is your final warning. Will the excitable ones at the back please behave!!!!).
Husband is busy with his football refereeing with the imminent end of season, there are lots of finals and rescheduled fixtures to try and fit in. Consequently he is hobbling round like an old man. Still, at least I know where he is for the most part anyway.
So my friends, I will away one more and try and find where the bloody hell I left my inspiration and will come back when I have something worth talking about!!!

You haven't lost it- it's just taking a Holiday as you might say.

You are just "processing". It's all there....all a part of the grand scheme of things.

Love you, love your life.

Try down the back of the couch. Even if it's not there, you'll probably find a couple of pound coins, so all will not be lost.

You can come here & witter to us any time. And you meant me when you talked about the excitable ones at the back, didn't you? It's OK, I recognised myself...

You are probably all out of inspiration after having the rug rats home for the holidays. It will come back soon. Put some evokative music on - that will get your creative juices going. good luck!

It's probably down that black hole that is now starving because it hasn't had any sports kits for a couple of weeks...

Witter any time. I do. Even at the back when you're talking. (sorry)

I don't know how I wandered over here, but here I am! Just read this post and you sound like such a neat person to know/read! I will go back and read some of your previous writing. Thanks for letting me drop by!

I always find inspiration in a warm bath with a loofah in one hand and a cold glass of wine in the other.

It does make the keyboard a bit soggy though but needs must.....

Perhaps for your building article you could do a piece wondering since you have a mild writers block; similarily do other trades like builders get (wait for it) builders blocks (sorry couldn't resist :)

Haven't you found it yet? That house must be a bloody tip.

Come and get an award while we're all waiting.

Hi there - thank you for commenting on my blog . . . my kids are away at Uni now - but visited last week - the house hasn't recovered yet and I was hard pushed not to nag - I mean you shouldn't nag guests - especially ones bringing chocolate.

I suspect you may have found my blog via one of our lot from Purplecoo? We are a blogging group that fled CL (Country Living) and set up on our own. We have 112 members at the moment and our own website with Common Room, Forum and Chatroom.

We must be sharing the same biorhythms MMOF! I have just accidentally posted a complete load of bollocks on my blog, read it again and deleted the lot because IT WAS CRAP.

So you see, bloggers block happens to us all at one time or another. It must be something to do with the weather.

That mojo of yours is probably just hiding down the back of the sofa for the time being, it hasn't gone completely.

Will be checking up on you!

I lose inspiration during the holidays - |I think it's the distraction of the children or something - brain on a go-slow. I found that I really couldn't write any interesting prose for the last two weeks and am wondering if I've lost the ability to write. But MMOF - you can't be brilliant all the time and it will come back - just plug away!

The mojo is probably in that drawer. You know the one where everything gets thrown into by everybody.
Holidays are lovely because when the children are on holiday, so am I :-)

This is a brilliant blog and I know I am a lazy cow when it comes to writing comments but I do enjoy reading!

best wishes aminah
