I think if you do, it's considered
shingles.

But I do know that if you get it as an adult, it is very painful.

Apparently yes you can, and not only as shingles, but as chicken pox again.

Also the older you are the harsher it is.

I've got a wonderful horror story of what happened to me at 30. But I'll save it for another time!!

oh yes, you definitely can. The chicken pox virus stays in your system and can be reactivated. Generally only happens after a mild dose first time around. Shingles is also from the chicken pox virus but is looks different.

Most doctors would tell you no, but as someone who had fifth's disease twice (as an adult!), I'd think it's certainly a possibility.

I think you can get chicken pox twice but it's unusual. I think it's different to shingles which is caused by the same virus but is more common. Then again, i'm no doctor!

i think if you got a light case, you can.

I sincerely hope not! I can't go through the "calamine lotion dance" again (daughter wriggled and squirmed as I tried to apply lotion). I thought that having had it, you then have the virus in your system and that provides protection against another outbreak?

Yes. Unusual but possible.
